Pray for Me

Prayer just got a burst of energy!

If you have struggled with prayer - staying awake or finding the time - or you just want to spend some more time with God, then this course is for you.

24/7 Prayer

This is praying as you may never have experienced it before - you can paint, write a song or a poem, add to the wall of prayer 'graffiti', sing to just you and God, play the guitar, get down on your face in front of the AMAZING God, ask God to change your school, work, country, world ... in short, this is a chance for you to communicate with God in a new way.

Australian churches are being urged to partner with a prayer initiative that invites Australians in need to ask for prayer. A website has been set up to provide Australians with an avenue to request prayer from Christians Churches www.prayforme.com.au .

Queensland State President of the Assemblies of God, Pastor Wayne Alcorn, has endorsed the initiative, saying, “This ministry has been established to provide an initial contact point for the unchurched to God and to link the community to the local Church. This ministry is fuelled by a passion for evangelism.”

Ps Russell Barton the Director of www.prayforme.com.au has been a part of the ministry team at Brisbane’s Liberty Christian Church for the past nine years. The church’s Pastor Steve Kennedy says he believes the ministry will play an instrumental role in promoting the Christian Church to the communities of Australia.

Prayforme.com.au is a non-profit organisation that wants to achieve a greater awareness in Australia of the relevancy of God to the average Australian and to provide a pathway to link up with a local church, 69% of Australians indicated a belief in a Christian faith in the last census, www.prayforme.com.au is an avenue for the unchurched to initiate contact with God, also allowing them access to free bibles and inspirational material and also an online church database.

“We aim to advertise www.Prayforme.com.au   throughout towns where partnering churches are located,” Russell explains. “We need to tell Australians that Christians across this nation are ready and willing to pray for their needs, and that it is as easy as logging onto a website or sending an SMS.”

Prayer cards and promotional material will be distributed through-out  schools, hospitals and prisons across Australia, but the extent of the ministry’s effectiveness is dependent on churches contacting Russell and his team to register their support. Already Scripture Union, Australian Christian Chaplains and Vision FM have are ready to promote this ministry to hundreds of thousands of the unchurched.

“Our ultimate goal is to see people planted in local churches as they initiate steps toward God,” says Russell. “We look forward to hearing of the miracles God is about to do through churches who partner with this ministry.”

IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE INFORMATION OR WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT THIS EVANGELISTIC MINISTRY EMAIL PRAYFORME DIRECT ON partnership@prayforme.com.au OR VISIT OUR WEB SITE www.prayforme.com.au.

“As we petition God, He is able and willing to perform miracles today,” Russell declares. Quoting James 5:16, he says, “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results.”
